About Restaurant Tycoon:
I would like to say that the game is fun for 5 minutes and sets itself up as a decent tycoon game which I can totally dig. The problem is that Restaurant Tycoon is completely glitched out and I only played for about 10 minutes before I gave up completely. There is no challenge to it and once you’ve built a restaurant that covers the building area, there is no end game. I’m not pleased with this game, if the creator fixes a lot of the bugs adds more art and maybe writes a catchy song I’d give it another 10 minutes of playtime. I am in love with this game! I hope Luigi Di Guida was given a bonus for his amazing music. The music is so good! Yes, it’s the same over and over but it doesn’t seem that way with the tempo changes. Really gorgeous. This game is all of my favorite things rolled in to one. 1. It’s cooking and the spice choices make sense. It must’ve been so difficult to put it together. I am in awe. 2. It’s designing and there are so many choices in this area. I have restaurants that look nothing like each other because of all the choices. 3. It’s not easy. My first two play-throughs I went bankrupt because I didn’t quite understand how to play. Now I go into debt immediately (up to around $8000) to get my ambience up, my staff with a good salary, and my kitchen working properly and then the money just flows. I also recommend making your own recipes right off the bat. Tweak them. Salt is super important! (I should mention that $10,000 in debt is bankruptcy.) One thing the tutorial doesn’t mention is raising your prices on the starting menu. My very first restaurant was super popular! Because I was selling everything at cost. Oops! In my third play-through I have a Meat Only restaurant, a Soup Only restaurant, and a Vegan/Vegetarian Salad only restaurant because I wanted to get the Specializations. I probably won’t do that next time. It kind of stifles creativity a bit. I have still been unable to get the “2 star for every ingredient” achievement because wow! That’s super hard.
