Paper Beast is an interesting game in that it isn’t trying to tell a proper story, as much as it’s simply relaying an idea that doesn’t really start to show up until the last 13 of the game. I found this really interesting since even when I’d play Alyx or some other god-tier VR title, I still always knew I was a dude holding two hunks of plastic in a room somewhere.
