About Bubble Gum Simulator:
This isn’t a game, but rather an interactive work of art. As with all art, appreciation and interpretation varies by viewer, so you’re either going to be mentally and emotionally stimulated or dreadfully bored. This isn’t a Hidden People or Where’s Waldo clone – it’s more of a walking simulator with a propensity for aggravating carpal tunnel syndrome. For what it sets out to do and the cost, I’ll give it a thumbs-up. But if you don’t “get” art, you should probably stay away. The Good +Free +Decent music YMMV ~30-60 minutes of holding your left mouse button down and dragging over identical objects to reveal an inferred touching story that you may or may not be able to – or care to – decipher ~Screen shake may get annoying ~Objects can overlap, making some of the later levels hard to complete (pixel-hunting) ~Game “ends” early. You have to manually go back into it to find second half. The Bad -None. It all comes down to if you’ve got an appreciation for the art. You enjoy peace and tranquility, you like to stay alone. There are too many noised around you, so you pushed everyone away. Even your loved one, is becoming one of the noises, so you pushed they away. Eventually, all noises stopped, you achieved what you craved for. But, harmony starts to feel bland, serenity starts to feel empty, and being alone starts to feel lonely. You realize you have no one left to rely, and no one else to blame, to push away. Your thoughts, your emotions and your feelings became the noise itself. Your only choice is to push yourself off the cliff, into the void. But you didn’t. You didn’t listen to the devil. You opened your heart, and starts to listen. The noises, they are still where they were. The ones you pushed away, they waited for you, they understood you. The noises in your surroundings are no longer annoying. They reminded that you are alive, reminded that it is good to be alive, that it is okay to pop your imaginary bubble that traps yourself in, to go out and experience every little inharmonious, to enjoy company of your trusted ones. Because those are what make our life colorful.
